Sermon: Doubt by Rev, Carolyn Tilley

“We are not alone: saints and angels invisible, yet in splendor, surround us; Jesus the healer is with us. Your Holy Spirit, O God, leads us to yearn for our own completeness, for the well-being of others, and for a better life. Fill us with the expectation of goodness; and should any here feel burdened by guilt or inadequacy, let the grace of Jesus be made real in all its liberating power.”

We will celebrate Communion this Sunday.

Celebrating the sacrament on Zoom creates a challenge. If you worship from home, we recommend preparing your elements for communion – a cup of juice or wine; a piece of bread.

We may trust that the holy mystery of the Living Christ among us which we affirm in Communion is great enough to transcend the limitations of our distance from one another in a Zoom meeting in this hybrid form of worship.

Our services continue to be held in our Sanctuary. People are welcome to come to church for worship, and we will continue to live-stream our worship service.

Facemasks are currently optional at TPPC. You are welcome to wear facemasks during the worship service. We welcome each person to make their own decision about masking based on their particular situation and preference.

We recommend that everyone stay up-to-date with COVID-19 boosters (and other recommended vaccines).

For more information, access the TPPC Coronovirus page.

About Online Worship

We will gather by ZOOM (feed available starting about 10:45 AM).

Directions on how to connect and participate in virtual worship will be sent via a group.io e-mail. If you are unfamiliar with ZOOM we recommend you read up a little before the service.

We will set an informal and experimental mood, and ask forgiveness as we stumble along our way in a new medium. It will be fun.
