Sermon: “Twins“ by Pastor Mark Harper

“God takes you as you are.  In the midst of your fears. In whatever
room you or someone else has locked you inside. In whatever ways you have betrayed yourself or others or God. You as you are and not some fictional made up future version of yourself who has managed finally to be a better person. You as you are.

Peace be with you … .”

The whole congregation is joyfully invited to attend the installation service for the Rev. Mark Harper NEXT Sunday afternoon, May 1st at 3 pm in the sanctuary.

This service celebrates the covenant between Mark, Takoma Park Presbyterian Church, and National Capital Presbytery. The Rev. Rindy Trouteaud, Mark’s colleague and friend from Atlanta, GA will be preaching, while representatives from TPPC and NCP will lead worship.

For those who cannot attend, the service will be live-streamed on Zoom. We hope to see you there!

Our services continue to be held in our Sanctuary. People are welcome to come to church for worship, and we will continue to live-stream our worship service.

Facemasks are currently optional at TPPC; however, if you’re not vaccinated, we recommend wearing a mask. We recommend that everyone get the COVID vaccination and booster, and if you have a vulnerable health condition or just prefer to wear a mask, please feel free to do so.

For more information, access the TPPC Coronovirus page.

About Online Worship

We will gather by ZOOM (feed available starting about 10:45 AM).

Directions on how to connect and participate in virtual worship will be sent via a group.io e-mail. If you are unfamiliar with ZOOM we recommend you read up a little before the service.

We will set an informal and experimental mood, ask forgiveness as we stumble along our way in a new medium. It will be fun.

For more information on TPPC's coronavirus response, access the TPCC Coronavirus Update page.
