Sermon : "Believing in Spite of the Evidence" by Rev. Mark Harper

“A prison cell like this is a good analogy for Advent. One waits, hopes, does this or that – ultimately negligible things – the door is locked and can only be opened from the outside.”

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Tegel Prison, November 21, 1943

Many thanks to all who are prayerfully considering your pledge commitments for the coming year, and to those of you who have already made them.

As we imagine ways to keep sharing the light and love of Christ with all generations and neighbors and those we haven’t met yet, let’s also take time to give thanks for one another and the gift of this community.

Grace and peace, Mark

Hybrid Worship Continues This Sunday

We continue to live-stream our worship with the primary focus on delivering a complete service for people participating on Zoom.

Our services now originate from the Sanctuary. People are welcome to come to church for worship, but no one should feel obligated to be personally present.

We respectfully ask that all those who have yet to be vaccinated including children wear masks in the church for their own health. For those who wish to join in singing, we respectfully ask that you put on masks during singing.

About Online Worship

We will gather by ZOOM (feed available starting about 10:45 AM).

Directions on how to connect and participate in virtual worship will be sent via a group.io e-mail. If you are unfamiliar with ZOOM we recommend you read up a little before the service. We will set an informal and experimental mood, ask forgiveness as we stumble along our way in a new medium. It will be fun.
