Sermon: “Mary from the Margins“ by Pastor Mark Harper
“Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
With your one wild and precious life?”From “The Summer Day,” by Mary Oliver
This week’s sermon will primarily come in the form of music from our marvelous choir and guest musicians (the pastor’s remarks will be brief).
A heartfelt thanks to Dr. James Bingham for weaving together this choral communion worship service as we move with Jesus closer to Jerusalem and his Passion.
A reminder that this Wednesday, April 6th at 7 pm, we will offer our final vespers service for the Lenten season. I’m sure those of you who have been able to participate share my deep gratitude for the rich musical leadership by Karen Boyer (piano), Carol Christensen (flute), and Roger Griffis (song leader).
Two special worship opportunities will be offered during Holy Week and leading up to Easter. A Maundy Thursday communion service featuring the reading of the Passion narrative from the Gospel of Luke will be held on April 14th at 7 pm. And then on Good Friday, a simple service reflecting on the crucifixion of Christ will be held at noon. We will keep you posted.
Grace and peace, Mark

About Online Worship
We will gather by ZOOM (feed available starting about 10:45 AM).
Directions on how to connect and participate in virtual worship will be sent via a group.io e-mail. If you are unfamiliar with ZOOM we recommend you read up a little before the service.
We will set an informal and experimental mood, ask forgiveness as we stumble along our way in a new medium. It will be fun.
