Sermon: Putting Words in Our Mouths“ by Pastor Mark Harper

“I have called you by name, you are mine.”

Isaiah 43:1

“It is possible to become discouraged about the injustice we see everywhere.  But God did not promise us that the world would be humane and just. The Creator gives us the gift of life and allows us to choose the way we will use our limited time on earth. It is an awesome opportunity.”

This Sunday morning, I’m looking forward to hearing a new generation of voices lifting up their own questions and reflections about God’s way in this world. Confirmation class is beginning! Please keep this amazing group in your prayers (and supplied with good things to eat, if the Spirit moves you!). Someday we will very likely be ordaining and installing some or all of these young people just like we will be doing with our elders and deacons in worship this week. Thanks to all of you for your loving “yes.”

Grace and peace,
Mark

About Online Worship

We will gather by ZOOM (feed available starting about 10:45 AM).

Directions on how to connect and participate in virtual worship will be sent via a group.io e-mail. If you are unfamiliar with ZOOM we recommend you read up a little before the service. We will set an informal and experimental mood, ask forgiveness as we stumble along our way in a new medium. It will be fun.
