Called as Partners in Christ’s Service
Sermon Preview:
“Called as Partners in Christ’s Service” by Rev. Jim Reisner
“Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.” Indeed, love does just that, and it’s a good thing it does. I Peter acknowledges that we humans are pretty hard to tolerate at times. We screw up. We miss the mark. We fail to see beyond our own noses. We sin. Yet, we are called to come together and be the church together.
“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
— Howard Thurman
“Vocation is the place where our deep gladness meets the world's deep need.
— Frederick Buechner
Hybrid Worship Continues This Sunday
We invite people with last names starting with L to Z to worship in the sanctuary.
An announcement concerning the start of hybrid worship at TPPC is available on our blog.
In worship this Sunday we will ordain and install as Ruling Elder actively serving on the Session. Following worship, we invite everyone to stay for an opportunity to gather in small groups to reflect on the theme “Called as Partners in Christ’s Service” and share stories of when we have participated in meaningful accomplishments as part of the church.
About Online Worship
We will gather by ZOOM (feed available starting about 9:45 AM).
Directions on how to connect and participate in virtual worship will be sent via a group.io e-mail. If you are unfamiliar with ZOOM we recommend you read up a little before the service. We will set an informal and experimental mood, ask forgiveness as we stumble along our way in a new medium. It will be fun.
