October 6 is World Communion Sunday.

We are delighted to be celebrating World Communion Sunday with churches around the world. It is the occasion to wear clothes from our homelands or from places where we have spent time or have lived and we call home; or clothes from a culture we admire.

We also invite you to bring textiles, cloths, and banners to hang from the railings of the balcony. If you would like to do so, please arrive early, bring them by 10:45 a.m., so that the cloths may be hung before the service begins.

Note: Parking will be limited that day due to the Takoma Park Street Festival. If you can, please carpool or walk from home.

Sowing the Seeds of Peace Zechariah 8:12

Also on this day we receive the Peace & Global Witness Offering.

Our Peace & Global Witness Offering enables the church to promote the peace of Christ by addressing systems of injustice in our own communities and across the world.

For more information on the Peace & Global Witness Offering, access the PCUSA Special Offerings Website.
