Wednesday Advent Vesper Worship For 2024
There will be Advent Vesper services on three Wednesday evenings starting on December 4 in the newly refurbished chapel.
TPPC Joins Election Night Vigil On November 4
Join TPPC and other congregations for an election night vigil down 16th street on Monday, November 4 starting at 5:30 PM.
Boy Scout Pancake Supper November 9
Takoma Park Presbyterian Church will host Troop 33’s annual Pancake Supper Fundraiser featuring all you can eat pancakes, sausage/veggie sausage, apple sauce, and maple syrup.
We invite you to join the scouts on Saturday, November 9th between 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Don Patti Memorial Gym, at the Takoma Presbyterian Church (310 Tulip Avenue, Takoma Park, MD).
All Saints Day November 3
On Sunday, November 3, TPPC will be celebrating All Saints Day when we remember friends and family who have passed away. Their names will be read from the pulpit and the Deacons will have a table ready to display pictures of loved ones.
Free musical performance at TPPC on October 26
On October 26, violinist Marlisa Woods and pianist Steven Silverman will perform at Takoma Park Presbyterian Church.
Their program includes Gabriel Faure’s luminous A major violin-piano sonata Opus 13, and the D major violin-piano sonata Opus 26 of Dora Pejacevic.
The concert is at 7:30 pm. There is no admission charge, although donations are encouraged.
Let’s Deepen our Discipleship This Fall
There are several opportunities this fall to grow and deepen our faith and discipleship. Please prayerfully consider participating in these activities, both at TPPC and in our community.
Blessing of the Animals October 13
On Sunday, October 13 at 3 p.m., there will be a service for blessing the animals on the lawn in front of our church.
World Communion Sunday 2024
October 6 is World Communion Sunday. Also on this day we receive the Peace & Global Witness Offering.
Adult Ed Series on Reparations in September
On Sunday mornings September 15 and 22 (with the possibility of extending a third week to September 29 if more time is needed) starting at 9:30 AM, we will be reading and discussing the September 2024 special edition of The Presbyterian Outlook magazine on reparations.
Welcome Back Potluck, September 8
To celebrate the beginning of another program year at Takoma Park Presbyterian Church and the return of worship to the regular 11 AM starting time, there will be a Welcome Back Potluck Dinner on Sunday, September 11 starting after worship in the TPPC Assembly Room.

Summer Worship Begins Soon at TPPC
Starting Sunday, May 26, our worship services will begin at 10:00 AM. This will continue until September 1. On September 8, we will return to our regular 11:00 am service hour.
Over the next few weeks, there will be some events in worship to lead into summer.
Gardening with Native Plants Event, May 12
The 2024 Takoma Park Presbyterian Church (TPPC) Native Plants and Gardening for Wildlife Celebration will be held Sunday, May 12, from 12:30-2:30 pm in front of the Church (corner of Tulip and Maple Aves). All welcome!
Choral Post-Easter Service on April 14
The Takoma Park Presbyterian Church Choir and Friends will present a service of celebration at on Sunday, April 14, at 11:00 a.m. This service will feature sacred music from largely British composers of the 20th Century.

Adult Sunday School Class On Reparations
Please join us for a book study of Reparations: A Christian Call to Repentance and Repair by Duke Kwon and Gregory Thompson.
This hybrid class will meet in the church parlor and through Zoom at 9:30 AM on March 17th and 24th, and April 7th and 14th.
Summer Worship Schedule Starts May 26
Takoma Park Presbyterian Church’s summer worship schedule for 2024 will start on May 26 and will last until September 1.
Worship will start at 10 AM.
TPPC History and a Tour of Its Buildings
Join long-time member and amateur historian, Jill Feasley, on Sunday, March 10th, from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. as she discusses the 131-year history of Takoma Park Presbyterian Church. At the end of the talk, she will give attendees who are interested a behind-the-scenes tour of the church buildings.
