Worship Video and Audio, January 28

There is also a separate video of the anthem from the service (https://tinyurl.com/AnthemVideoJan28), which was provided by the Bird Quartet. For the Anthem they played the first movement of the String Quartet in C major “The Bird”, No 3 Op. 33 by the Austrian composer, Franz Joseph Haydn.

The players are local high school students who are members of the DC Youth Orchestra. This past summer they formed a youth string quartet while attending the Corcoran School of Music at George Washington University as part of the DCYOP Summer Chamber Music Intensive. At that time, they rehearsed and performed this Haydn String Quartet and graciously agreed to play a shortened version of the first movement for our service.
