Adult Education on Reparations                            

When? September 15 and 22 at 9:30 a.m.

Where? The TPPC parlor and on Zoom.

Seminar on White Christian Nationalism

Saint Luke Lutheran Church is hosting a seminar to explore the factors that have given rise to White Christian Nationalism in the U.S. and how we should respond.  It is a particularly relevant topic right now regardless of your religious beliefs.  Congressman Jaime Raskin will be providing the opening address. 

The seminar starts on October 25 (Friday evening at 5:30 with dinner included) and continues on Saturday morning October 26 with breakfast (until about 1:30 PM).  Saint Luke Lutheran Church is located at 9100 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910.

"I Will Build this World From Love" Screening and Talkback

The Interfaith Families Project and Saint Mark Presbyterian Church are excited to co-sponsor the premiere of a new interfaith documentary entitled, "I Will Build this World From Love" starting at 6:30 PM. The one-hour film will be followed by a talkback with its three stars, who are traveling from different parts of the world to be with us.

Movie Synopsis: I Will Build this World From Love tells the story of a bishop from the country of Georgia, who is building a “peace cathedral,” which houses a church, synagogue, and mosque under one roof. His controversial efforts seek to advance interfaith relations and global harmony in the face of immense turmoil and fear. He partners with an Israeli rabbi and an American cantor as they help prepare Georgian women to read publicly from the Torah for the first time in 2600 years.
