Memorial Service for Joe Reynolds on February 18
The Takoma Park Presbyterian Church will host a memorial service for our brother in Christ, Joe Reynolds, on Saturday, February 18th starting at 2 PM. The service will be held in the church sanctuary.
For those who cannot attend the service in person, there will be an option to access the service online (the URL is https://tinyurl.com/JoeReynoldsService). Note that the church has a special license that will allow up to a thousand accounts to view the service.
The bulletin for the service is available for viewing from this website.
There will be a reception after the service in the Patti Gymnasium on the church grounds, which is a short walk from the church sanctuary.
If you are planning on coming to the event, we ask that you do not park near the church to allow that space for Joe’s immediate family and close friends. Consider using public transportation (the church is within two blocks of stops for the Ride On 12, 16, and 18 routes). A bike lockup is available to the left of the Patti gym, and you can walk if you live close by.
There is free parking at the Takoma Metro Station, which is about a seven-minute walk to the church. There will be a couple of cars operating a shuttle service to take you to and from the church. Look for the small covered bay on the south side of the parking lot to be picked up by two church volunteers. The shuttle cars will be marked to be easily identifiable. Cars will run between the Takoma Metro station and the church before (from 1:15 to 2 PM) and after the service (check at the reception).
Both the Sanctuary and Patti Gymnasium are handicapped accessible.
Volunteers will be needed on the day of the service to welcome visitors and provide support during the reception.
Donations in Joe's memory can be directed to CHEER (https://www.communitycheer.org/) or to Marylanders to Prevent Gun Violence (https://mdpgv.org/#home-page).
