Lenten Choral Service on March 26
On Sunday, March 26, the choir will perform selections from James Bingham’s Requiem, as part of a special Lenten Choral Service.

Committed Racial Mindfulness Meeting March 9
The Committed Racial Mindfulness ministry will hold an important start-up meeting on Thursday, March 9 from 7:30-9 p.m. via Zoom.
Ash Wednesday Worship
Takoma Park Presbyterian Church will celebrate Ash Wednesday with a service in the sanctuary on February 22, 2023, at 7 PM.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Talent Show on February 21
The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and Talent Show are scheduled for February 21st starting at 6:30 PM in the Church Assembly Room.
There will also be a baking contest as part of the festivities.
Memorial Service for Joe Reynolds on February 18
The Takoma Park Presbyterian Church will host a memorial service for our brother in Christ, Joe Reynolds, on Saturday, February 18th starting at 2 PM. The service will be held in the church sanctuary.
2022 Advent and Christmas Events
Takoma Park Presbyterian Church will host a number of events to celebrate Advent and Christmas. A list of these activities appears in this blog post.
Wednesday Taize Worship For Advent
There will be worship services in the contemplative Taize style on all four Wednesday evenings in Advent starting November 30.
Congregational Meeting After Worship, December 18
The Session of the Takoma Park Presbyterian Church calls a congregational meeting on Sunday, December 18, to elect elders and deacons for the upcoming church year.
Mark Charles Visits TPPC
Mark Charles, theologian, Reformed pastor, trainer, consultant, and author is coming to TPPC on December 3-4.
TPPC Annual Pledge Drive Continues
While stewardship and giving are ongoing activities within our Church community, this is the time of year when we hold our annual pledge drive.
All Saints Day, November 6
On Sunday, November 6, we’ll be celebrating All Saints Day, the day when we remember the loved ones who have died since November 2021.
World Communion Sunday, October 2
October 2 is World Communion Sunday. We are delighted to be celebrating World Communion Sunday with churches around the world.
Blessing of the Animals, October 9
On the TPPC church lawn, there will be a service of blessing the animals on Sunday, October 9, at 3 pm.

Another September marks the beginning of another program year at Takoma Park Presbyterian Church. We have a number of activities to welcome you back to your church home, or to help make this your new church home, from a welcoming brunch, choir rehearsals, our plans for Fall Sunday School, and the start of our Women’s Bible Study.
Welcome Back Brunch, September 11
To celebrate the beginning of another program year at Takoma Park Presbyterian Church and the return of worship to the regular 11 AM starting time, there will be a Welcome Back Brunch on Sunday, September 11 starting at 9:30 AM in the TPPC Assembly Room.
Blessing Backpacks on August 28
During worship on Sunday, August 28, there will be a blessing of backpacks, book bags, purses, computer bags, diaper bags, purses, wallets, etc.

Christian Ed Committee seeking ideas for youth programs
As we slowly get back into the rhythm of regathering in person, the Christian Education Committee would love to hear your thoughts on children and youth programming. To that end, CE is inviting all interested parents and teachers to a light lunch in the Assembly Room following worship on July 31st.
